Day 142: My Hair

I was planning to cut my hair after Halloween, but then I discovered this hairstyle. It's super easy and I really like it, so I think I might hold off on cutting it for a bit.

Day 140: Halloween Party

Marty McFly being attacked by zombies. We didn't take a group photo this year. ":(

Day 139: New Toy

I came home from work to find this in the garage. Sweet!

Day 138: Bedtime

I love this quilt. Granny made it and gave it to me for Christmas on year. I love all the scraps.

Day 137: Sparkly

Yesterday, Sarah and I worked on our hair accessories for our Halloween costumes. It took less time than we thought, so we just drank wine and talked.

Day 135: Pumpkin Seeds

Just some of the pumpkin seeds from all the pumpkins we cut up: garlic salt and spicy.

Day 134: Pureed Pumpkin

The whole family took part in gutting the pumpkins, cutting them up, cooking them, skinning them, and pureeing them. So far, we have 12 quart bags.

Day 133: Pumpkin Adventure

For Mom's birthday we had lunch at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth. Then we went over to Johnson's Giant Pumpkin Farm. We saw a 75 pound pumpkin launched with a trebuchet. We found our way through the corn maze. We bought cider and kettle corn. Later, at the house, Mom carved the very first pumpkin she's ever carved.

Day 131: Harveys

Mandy, Marc, Ashley, Dennis, and I went to Harveys for dinner. I love their food and drinks. The company was great too.

Day 130: Ashley's Back!

Driving down to Flint to pick up Ashley from the airport was treacherous. The wind was something fierce. Thankfully her flight arrived just fine and so did I. Toby was thrilled to see his mama.

Day 129: Sarah's Birthday

I took Sarah out for a couple beers for her birthday. We love the Midland Brewing Company.

Day 127: Treats

The dogs were running out of treats, so I decided to make some. From left to right: blackberry treats, blackberry and liver treats (Daisy's liver), and mint treats. I'm hoping the mint treats will help with their fish breath.

Day 126: Lady

I went over to Ed and Carrie's for dinner and the NASCAR race. I brought with me rolls and brownies in that blue bag which I left empty on that chair. Apparently Lady thought that was a good place to hang out. Or maybe she wanted to go home with me.

Day 125: Chicken Noodle Soup

It's been cold and crappy out, so I made homemade chicken noodle soup. It was the best soup I've ever made.

Day 124: Gummies

The other night when I was watching TV, there was a commercial for the news and the anchor said something about kids getting stoned on gummy bears. Of course, I was intrigued. I recorded the news and watched it the next day. Evidently, kids in California are soaking gummy bears in alcohol and then eating them and no one knows because it's candy. The news story was a warning, of course, but I couldn't wait to try it, so I bought gummy bears and put them in a half-pint jar and then filled it with vanilla vodka.

Day 123: Dinner on the Fly

I finally went grocery shopping... I think it's been a couple months since I last went. This dinner is what I came up when I got home. I made it up as I went. It contains chicken, mushrooms, white wine, pesto, garlic, onion, spinach, and fancy pasta. It was delicious.

Day 121: Wild Cherry Limeade

Marc, Mandy, and I met Dan at Logan's for dinner. We had originally gone to BWW, but with both the Lions and Tigers playing, there was no way we were getting a table.

Day 119: Hiking

Marc, Dennis, Rodney, Toby and I went to Ludington to hike because of the ridiculously beautiful weather. It was in the 70s. Toby and Rodney, of course, were in the lead, so this picture was taken Ashley-style. I took a bunch of photos of legs, my backpack, and the trail before I got one with both the guys in it.

Day 118: Necklace

I was trying to take picture of my necklace because it looked cool with the buttons on my shirt (they're the same gold color), but this picture turned out even cooler than that. At least I think it's cool. I love Adobe Lightroom.

Day 116: Sneak Attack

Toby likes to climb up on the back of the sofa and sneak up behind me.

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

Day 115: Cheesecake

I had a dinner date with Carly. We went to Big E's for drinks and dinner. The service still isn't the greatest, but the food was better this time around. We split the fried cheesecake with chocolate, strawberries, and whip cream.

Day 114: Best Friends

I love that Toby and Rodney are best buds. They are so cute.

Day 112: Midland 5-0

Not sure what this was about. Are they being busted for an illegal garage sale? Did they complain about the party the Northwood boys had the night before?
