Day 294: Damn Snow!

Damn snow! It was 80 just a couple weeks ago.

Day 293: Hands

Ash and I went over to Gram's today to give her a manicure. Ashley's nails are red, Gram's a metallic lilac, and mine are green.

Day 292: Homemade Snickers

I love Pinterest! I found this homemade Snickers recipe and it is amazing. It's crazy sweet, so you can only eat it in small quantities, but dang it's good.

Day 291: Easter Prizes

I made Easter "baskets" for the Godchildren and filled them with goodies.

Day 289: Fancy Chocolates

Ashley and I made a bunch of dark chocolate and milk chocolate candies for "Christmas" this weekend.

Fillings:
large turtles = pecans and caramel
small turtles = peanuts
light bulbs = almonds
round ones = caramel
snowmen = walnuts
snowflakes = cranberries
stars =  any combination of the above (each one is different)

Day 287: Buttons!

I spent the day working on Christmas presents for next weekend. I dyed buttons and made some jewelry with them.

Day 286: Tattoos and a Pink Bow

Gage wearing Baby Morgan's bow for a photo-op. Kevin had been wearing it, but refused to wear it for a picture. Gage was more daring. I think it compliments his tattoos nicely. (Oh yeah, and that's Marc in the background.)

Toby and Rodney got their teeth cleaned today, which requires putting them under. Mom (at work) and Dad (at Gram's) called at the same time to ask how they were doing. Instead of calling one of them back, she told them at the same time.

It's March 20, the first day of Spring and it's 83 degrees in Midland. That has to be some sort of record!

I dyed my own buttons. It was hit and miss as to which ones would take the dye and which ones wouldn't. Some took it better than others.

I jacked up my back, not sure how, but it really freakin' hurts. So much so that I didn't do anything all day but lay on the sofa. Walking around made it hurt so much worse. Hopefully I can see a chiropractor on Monday and get it fixed.

Day 267: Dinosaur Print

This place was supposed to have awesome dinosaur footprints, but they were only okay. This is the only one that clearly looks like a dinosaur print.

Day 266: Mitten Monuments

We raced like crazy to get to Monument Valley before it was dark. We got there just in time. It was very cool. We saw lots of monuments, including this very famous one that has been in many movies.

Day 265: Red Rock Hike

On our way to Vegas, we stopped at Red Rock Canyon to hike to Calico Tanks. It was an awesome hike with lots of rock scrambling. Toby and Rodney loved it.

Day 264: The Journey Begins

This is just one of the few places that we stopped on our way out of California. There were lots of great places to see rugged mountains and boulders.
