I had so much fun with my previous 365 project (Last Year of My 20s) that I decided I should do another one.

Day 315: Hanging
I hung up several things that have been a long time waiting. First, with the help of Dad, I finally finished hanging up the tree painting in the stairwell (for a very long time, only the bottom two paintings were up). Ashley and I hung up the roman shades in the office. And I hung up the cowboy hat pictures in my room.

Day 314: DJ's
I went to Diamond Jim's to have drinks with Jodi right after work. Because I work in the plant, I didn't have my camera on me (they are not allowed in the plant). On top of that, we were going to have just a couple drinks, and four and half hours later, we finally decided to call it a night. I had a great time, but no pictures for today.

Day 311: Goodies
I've never gotten so many goodies for starting a new job before: steel-toe shoes, hard hat, ear plugs, goggles and glasses, gloves, and a tough backpack for my laptop and a billion other things. Seriously, it has so many pockets, I don't know if I can fill them all.

Day 310: Aaah! Monsters!
These monsters are for an Etsy order. It was pretty cool. The customer came to me requesting my monsters. I think they turned out super cute. After I take a little break from them (I'm a little burnt out from doing such a quick turnaround), I think I should make some more.

Day 309: Sophia
Ashley, Marc, Dennis, and I went down to Sterling Heights to see Blue Like Jazz, mostly because I'm an Associate Producer for the movie. Of course, we couldn't get that close to Berkeley without seeing Dan, Nina, and Baby Sophia. ":) The BBQ was pretty awesome too.

Day 308: Dirt Party
Mom and Dad bought 140-some bags of dirt to put in flower beds (etc) around the yard, so Ash and I went over to help. We unloaded 56 bags today and will do more another weekend.

Day 304: Monsters!!
I had a message on Etsy from a lady asking if she could order 8 felt monsters from me. I told her yes and am waiting for her reply. In the mean time, I thought I should get a head start on them.

Sooooo delicious!!

Toasted Ravioli with Marinara Sauce
2 tablespoons whole milk
1 egg
3/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
salt & pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
salt & pepper to taste
1/2 (25 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli, thawed
2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Marinara sauce for dipping
Combine milk and egg in a small
bowl. Combine breadcrumbs and seasonings in a shallow bowl. Dip ravioli
in milk mixture, and coat with breadcrumbs.
In a large saucepan, heat marinara sauce over medium heat until bubbling. Reduce the heat to simmer.
In a large heavy pan, pour oil to depth of 2 inches. Heat oil over medium heat until a small amount of breading sizzles and turns brown. Fry ravioli, a few at a time, 1 minute on each side or until golden. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with hot marinara sauce.

Day 302: Easter
Ashley, Carrie, Mom, and I colored eggs for Easter. We used a method I found on Pinterest, but ours didn't turn out as cool. Still, we had fun and that's really the important thing, right?

Day 299: Pinecones
My "new" camera came in the mail today. ("New" = refurbished. I decided that since digital cameras only last for a year or two for me, that I might as well not pay full price for one.) I had fun trying out the different settings.

Day 298: Peeps!
After work, I went to dinner with Carly. I took my camera with every intention to take a picture, but we got so busy talking that I forgot. Then when I got home, I had orders for the rest of my Peeps, but I didn't have any sets made, so I had to bust those out.

Day 297: Errands
Today I had to go do a drug test for my new job. They also have you do a breathalyzer, which I think is irrelevant at this point. I get the drug test because drugs are always illegal, but alcohol isn't and since I'm not actually working for them yet, why should they get to decide when I can have a drink. Not that this matters for me since I don't generally drink in the afternoon (unless I'm on vacation), but it's the principle of the matter. Also, it seems to me to be a waste of money. Why not save that test for when the person is actually working for you and therefore should not be drinking? That would be a better use of their money in my opinion.

Day 296: Quiltie
Ashley finished quilting my paisley throw, so she took that out of the frame and I put in my owl quilt that I finished piecing in California.
