Yesterday I went strawberry picking with Dennis. Together, we picked about 15 pounds. I put the medium-sized ones in the dehydrator and the small ones in the freezer. The large ones are in the fridge for eating fresh with
fruit dip. The ones that were already starting to turn a little were used to make
strawberry bread and
jam (I used honey instead of sugar and I cooked them longer in hopes that they will last longer). I also made
strawberry butter to go on the bread. And I made
strawberry cream cheese cobbler and even though it's yummy, it doesn't look pretty, so I didn't take a picture of it.
